For a variety of reasons, some people are not able to keep their Dalmatians and these dogs may be returned to their breeders, or their breeders are asked to assist the owners in finding the dog a new home. Sometimes, they have had no prior training and need to be adopted by a home that is willing to put in the time needed to train the dog so they can become a valued family member, or they may be a healthy, happy, well trained dog that through no fault of their own, now needs a new home. Rarely are they puppies. Potential owners are screened as carefully as new puppy buyers.
For WELFARE Dalmatians (Dalmatians rescued from pounds and shelters, or surrendered to Welfare Services as they have no breeder who will help them find a new home), please see the WELFARE page.
